About SEED AI

Johan is a builder at the intersection of technology, data, and business. He began his career in institutional asset management at BlackRock and CDPQ (La Caisse) before transitioning into artificial intelligence, joining CDPQ’s AI R&D team. He later cofounded SEED AI to help organizations turn data and AI into tangible business value, supporting organizations such as the Bank of Canada and the CHUM in their transformation initiatives, and working multiple industries including financial services, insurance, mining, video games, manufacturing, food and beverages, etc.

Today, Johan leads development, AI, and data at a large private healthcare organization, where he oversees teams and initiatives spanning software development, data, analytics, and artificial intelligence. He is also an executive trainer and coach with IVADO, helping leaders and organizations navigate AI adoption and build stronger data and AI capabilities.

Jean-Baptiste is passionate about data. He was fascinated early by its capacity to enlighten decision-making and transform organizations, a calling that led him to doctoral studies in decision sciences and applied mathematics at HEC Montréal and Polytechnique Montréal. He first put his expertise into practice at Gameloft, where he owned in-app advertising. He is now Senior Product Manager at Criteo, where he leads on User Data for personnalization topics, from tracking to identity. Jean-Baptiste cofounded SEED AI to realize his vision to liberate the potential of data for all. The AI transformation programme he built has been used by large institutions such as the Bank of Canada, the Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal and CAA-Québec.

Jean-Baptiste also puts his expertise at the service of the community, where he has helped organizations such as Moisson Montréal. He cofounded The Bigger Data to help non-profits with their data strategy and the digitalization of their processes, and to train the next generation of analysts. He has supervised 40+ volunteers across 15+ projects for NGOs such as AIESEC (43,000+ volunteers worldwide) or the Sacré-Coeur Hospital Foundation in Montréal.
